Thank you for taking the time to visit the Greater Sudbury Police Service web site. Our organization is progressive and leading the way in community mobilization and engagement. We hold a vision of innovation, collaboration, and leadership with a commitment to deliver exemplary service and create safe and healthy communities.
Building on our proud traditions, we value the people and our members all of whom take pride in a city where all people can build safe and healthy lives, where business is conducted in a secure marketplace, and where young people grow and learn in environments free from risk and fear.
The Service is proud of our policing model ‘The Nickel’ which has a full circle approach to community safety and well-being embracing all of the elements needed to build a stronger Sudbury. Through collaborative operationalized risk-focused strategies all based on the Service’s vision, mission, and values, our members are accountable to each other and to the citizens we serve.
Enforcement is at the core of policing and we must enforce laws and hold offenders accountable. I also firmly believe that policing is not just about enforcement alone, it also encompasses prevention and intervention as a shared responsibility with our community. Our passion is to build and maintain strong bonds and consensus with the residents of Sudbury.
As Chief of Police, I am strongly committed to the community, working to build trust and respond to identified needs. Together, we will implement solutions and create partnerships that work.
Chief of Police
