volunteer.jpgThe Greater Sudbury Police Service is looking for people who want to make a difference in their communities. The Greater Sudbury Police Service has many volunteer opportunities to offer, including the Auxiliary program, Lion's Eye in the Sky, Citizens on Patrol and the Event Volunteer program. Volunteers must be over the age of 18 and pass a police background check. If you are between the ages of 14-17 and would like to be an Event Volunteer, please fill out the minor consent form

It’s Moose hunting season and we are on the prowl for an outgoing and energetic volunteer to fill our mascot costume, Inspector Murphy Mooseau. He loves to explore and attend various events throughout the city. You can usually find him surrounded by laughing children and posing for photos. We encourage anyone who is interested in taking on this role to review the eligibility section and fill out an application for an Event Volunteer and submit it by July 12th, 2019.

Recent Inspector Mooseau appearances include:

  • Relay for Life
  • Cops, Kids and Fishing
  • Police Week
  • Polar Plunge
  • Santa Claus Parade
  • Crime Prevention Week
