Youth Engagement

Greater Sudbury Police Service recognizes healthy relationships with young people are the result of engaging activities, which provide the opportunity for young people to have conversations and enjoy a 'fun' activity.

Engaging youth in community creates a sense of belonging. When the youth realize their voices and opinions are being considered, they will believe they are truly a part of their community. Empowered youth are solution finders and role models for other youth.

Members of Greater Sudbury Police Service participate in school and community events as well as organize youth-focused events to look for meaningful ways to build relationships.

Some examples: Fishing with a Cop; Homerun for High Schools Baseball Tournament; Lip Sync Contest; Courage to Stand Run.
