BEAR Unit claws back stolen goods and seizes illicit drugs

On June 17, 2026, detectives from our Break Enter and Robbery (BEAR) Unit concluded an investigation into multiple theft related incidents where a significant amount of stolen property was recovered.

Detectives from the Integrated Crime Section executed a search warrant at an address in Val Caron in where detectives located and seized a dirt bike, two ATVs, and approximately 129 grams of Cocaine with an estimated street value of $12,900. 

As a result of the investigation and search warrant, 41-year-old, Meysam Taghidad-Jamab of Greater Sudbury was arrested and charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada:

• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 x3

• Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking

Meysam Taghidad-Jamab attended bail court today, June 18, 2026, to answer to the charges.
