Detectives continue to investigate homicide of Pat Forgues – July 31, 2024 in Bell Park

Shortly after 6:00 a.m. on July 31, 2024, officers were dispatched to the area of the large gazebo northeast of the Grace Hartman Amphitheatre in Bell Park to assist Greater Sudbury Paramedic Services with a medical call. Upon arrival, paramedics determined that the individual was deceased.

Following an investigation conducted by detectives of the GSPS Major Crime Section, in consultation with the Office of the Chief Coroner, it was determined that the injuries sustained by 36-year-old Pat Forgues could not be explained. As a result, the death has been classified as a homicide.

Detectives continue to actively investigate the death that occurred in Bell Park on July 31, 2024.

Investigators are asking anyone who had contact with or interacted with Pat Forgues on the evening of July 30, 2024, to come forward.

Police are also seeking information from anyone who was present in Bell Park during the early morning hours of July 31, 2024.
