DEU Executes Cannabis Act Search Warrant at Business on Lasalle Boulevard

We received numerous complaints from community members in relation to an illegal Cannabis dispensary operating on Lasalle Boulevard.

Members of our Integrated Crime Section – Drug Enforcement Unit began an investigation into the matter that resulted in a Cannabis Act Search Warrant being executed at a local business on Lasalle Boulevard on March 9, 2022.

As a result of the investigation and execution of the Search Warrant, Detectives arrested two individuals and seized various Cannabis products with an estimated value of $225,000, as well as, evidence supporting the illegal operation of the business.

A 42 year old man and a 38 year old man have been charged with Possession of Cannabis for the Purpose of Selling contrary to the Cannabis Act. Their names cannot be released as the information has not yet been sworn to through the Court process. Both individuals were released on an Undertaking with a First Appearance Court date of May 5, 2022.
