Officers investigating threat at Lasalle Secondary School

Shortly after 10:10 a.m. this morning, September 23, 2024, officers were dispatched to Lasalle Secondary School in relation to a threats complaint. Information provided was multiple staff members had received an email detailing an alleged bomb threat.

School administration placed both the secondary and elementary schools in lockdown while awaiting police arrival.

Officers arrived on scene and with the assistance of staff, cleared both the secondary and elementary schools. Officers and staff did not locate anything suspicious, and the lockdown was lifted.

There will be a police presence at Lasalle Secondary School for the remainder of the day to provide support to staff and students.

The investigation into the origin of the email is ongoing.
