Requesting assistance to identify driver of electric dirt bike involved in erratic driving incident

Just before 8:45 a.m. on April 21, 2026, an officer observed an electric dirt bike (image of bike and driver attached) without a licence plate being driven erratically on Elgin Street. The driver of the dirt bike was seen popping wheelies and attempting to engage officers in pursuit. The driver of the dirt bike then sped off at a high rate of speed down Minto Street towards Larch Street. Officers then observed the electric dirt bike on Louis Street where the driver once again tried to engage officers in a pursuit by doing wheelies and speeding.

Shortly after, our 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Centre received multiple calls of the same dirt bike being driven erratically Ste. Anne’s Road and then Elm Steet where the driver was seen going through red lights placing other motorists and pedestrians at risk.

Due to the erratic driving behaviour, officers did not pursue the vehicle. We are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the driver involved in this incident and the location of the dirt bike. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 705-675-9171 or Crime Stoppers at 705-222-8477.
