UPDATE – Located deceased - Missing Person – 72-year-old, Stanley

UPDATE

Throughout the night and into the morning, officers from Patrol Operations and our Search and Rescue Team with the assistance of North Shore Search and Rescue conducted a ground search for 72-year-old, Stanley.

Shortly after 5:00 a.m. this morning, October 20, 2025, Stanley was unfortunately located deceased on Allen Street.

Our deepest condolences go out to Stanley’s family and friends. We ask that you respect their privacy during this emotional time.

Foul play is not suspected. A postmortem will be conducted through the Coroner’s Office to determine the cause of death.

ORIGNAL

Around 7:20 p.m. on October 19, 2025, officers responded to a Missing Person call in Coniston. Information provided was that family members had concerns for 72-year-old, Stanley as he left the residence around 11:30 a.m. and had not returned.

Stanley is described as 5’6’’ tall, medium build with grey hair and speaks with a thick French accent. Stanley was last seen wearing a fur hat, Sudbury Wolves jersey, orange jacket, navy blue shorts and black boots.

Stanley does not have access to a vehicle but is known to walk considerable distances.

There is a concern for Stanley’s well-being as he has not been in contact with his family and has not returned home.

Anyone with information related to Stanley’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 705-675-9171.
