UPDATE - Officers investigating stabbing on Cedar Street
UPDATE
As a result of the ongoing investigation into the stabbing on Cedar Street on June 14, 2026, detectives have identified the individual believed to be responsible.
We are requesting the public’s assistance to locate 34-year-old, Lindsey Trudeau, who is wanted on an arrest warrant for the following offences pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada;
• Attempt Murder
• Weapons Dangerous
Anyone with information related to the whereabouts of Lindsey Trudeau is asked to contact police at 705-675-9171 or Crime Stoppers at 705-222-8477.
ORIGINAL
Just before 3:25 p.m. on June 14, 2026, officers were dispatched to Cedar Street in relation to a weapons complaint. Information provided was that an individual had sustained multiple stab wounds and required immediate medical attention.
Upon arrival, officers located a 33-year-old, man who had sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to the hospital by Greater Sudbury Paramedic Services.
Based on the investigation, it has been determined that the incident occurred in the area of Cedar Street at Young Street and involved one unidentified individual (images attached). The person responsible for the attack fled the area prior to police arrival.
This is believed to be a targeted incident.
