Waterloo Regional Police Arrest Male in Child Exploitation Investigation

Waterloo Regional Police have arrested and charged a Northern Ontario male following a child exploitation investigation involving a youth from Cambridge.

In July 2026, Waterloo Regional Police received a report from the parent of a 13-year-old Cambridge female after discovering she had been receiving sexually explicit text messages from an adult male.

An investigation by the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Cybercrime Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit determined that a 36-year-old male from Greater Sudbury, Ontario, had been communicating with and luring the youth.

In August 2026, WRPS’ ICE Unit partnered with the Greater Sudbury Police Service’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit as part of the investigation.

On September 10, 2026, investigators from both police services, with assistance from the Greater Sudbury Police Service Emergency Response Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence in Copper Cliff. During the search, investigators seized several digital devices.

Leslie Kiddle, 36, of Greater Sudbury, has been arrested and charged with:

• Luring a Child by with a Telecommunication Device
• Making Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Child
• Making Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material

Mr. Kiddle utilized the online handle “Ace Kiddle”.

The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
