Officers from the Greater Sudbury Police Service Traffic Management Unit and Patrol Operations will be on patrol again this Canada Day regulating the safe flow of pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Roadways around Bell Park, Science North, Health Sciences North and several intersecting streets will be monitored for prohibited parking.

DEU seize $78,500 in illicit drugs during drug trafficking investigationOn June 18, 2024, members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) were conducting a drug investigation on a suspected drug trafficker. While conducting the investigation, Detectives witnessed the individual driving a vehicle despite being a prohibited driver due to a previous impaired driving conviction.

DEU seizes illicit drugs and counterfeit money during search warrant on Burton AvenueThis morning, June 14, 2024, Detectives from the Greater Sudbury Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) concluded an investigation regarding individuals believed to be trafficking illicit drugs in Greater Sudbury.

As a result of the investigation into the threats complaint at Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School, officers have identified the individual believed to be responsible for the message written in a bathroom in the school.
The student has been arrested and charged with Uttering Threats and Mischief.
