Three Individuals Arrested and Charged with Drug Trafficking Offences
On the morning of February 11th, 2025, Detectives from the Greater Sudbury Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) concluded an investigation regarding individuals believed to be trafficking illicit drugs in Greater Sudbury. As a result of the investigation, the GSPS Emergency Response Unit (ERU) executed a search warrant on Leslie Street in Greater Sudbury.

CRU officers arrest individual on outstanding warrant and locate $117,000 worth of drugs18-year-old arrested and charged after home invasion on Frood RoadOn February 3, 2025, officers were dispatched to a disturbance at a residence on Frood Road. Information received was that multiple individuals broke into the residence and assaulted one of the residents.

On January 16, 2025, members of the Integrated Crime Section with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)-led Provincial Guns & Gangs Enforcement Team executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at an address on Oak Street in Greater Sudbury.

Festive Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) Campaign ResultsOn November 16, 2024, the Greater Sudbury Police Service in collaboration with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Safe Ride Home Sudbury, and Public Health Sudbury & Districts launched the Festive Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) Campaign. The 2024-2025 Festive RIDE Campaign was in memory of Caitlin Jelley, Jazmine Houle and Steven Philippe, who were killed by an impaired driver on June 21, 2009.
