Officers investigating fatal snowmobile collision North of HanmerOfficers charge three individuals with drug-related offences after traffic stop on Lorne StreetOn March 4, 2025, detectives from the Integrated Crime Section with the assistance of Patrol Operations, the Community Response Unit and the Emergency Response Unit conducted a traffic stop on Lorne Street in relation to individuals believed to be trafficking illicit drugs in Greater Sudbury.
As a result of the stop, the driver and two passengers from Greater Sudbury were arrested for drug charges.

During the initial assault investigation, officers received information that there may be a drug lab on the property.

DEU detectives seize $30,000 in illicit drugs after traffic stop on Lorne StreetOn February 25, 2025, Detectives from the Integrated Crime Section with the assistance of Patrol Operations and the Community Response Unit conducted a traffic stop on Lorne Street in relation to individuals believed to be trafficking illicit drugs in Greater Sudbury.
As officers approached the vehicle, they could see the occupants throwing items into the back seat.

DEU and ERU execute CDSA search warrant on Pearl StreetOn February 21, 2025, Detectives from the Greater Sudbury Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) concluded an investigation into individuals believed to be trafficking illicit drugs in Greater Sudbury.
As a result of the investigation, our Emergency Response Unit (ERU) executed a search warrant on Pearl Street in Greater Sudbury.

This reward will be apportioned as deemed just by the Solicitor General for the Province of Ontario and the Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police.
