Officers Seize Over $540,000 in Drugs and Arrest Three Men From Southern OntarioJan 12, 2023
UPDATE 2 - 33 year old Man Charged with Murder in Relation to Double Homicide at HotelAs a result of the ongoing investigation into the double homicide at a local hotel, Detectives from the Major Crime Section of our Criminal Investigation Division have been granted an Arrest Warrant for 33 year old Joel Roy for First Degree Murder x2 as well as Attempted Murder of an 18 year old man who was present during the shooting, however he was not injured. Joel Roy has also been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking as it is believed that he was trafficking illicit drugs out.
Officers Add Three Names to Santa's Naughty List in Connection to Over 15 B&E'sOver the past week, officers have located, arrested and charged three individuals in connection to at least 15 commercial Break and Enters between August and December of this year.
On December 18, 2022, officers were dispatched to a business on Barrydowne Road after a man attempted to gain access to the building via the roof.

Two Men Arrested and Charged with Manslaughter After 48 year old Man Dies of Drug OverdoseOn December 15, 2022, Detectives from the Major Crime Section of our Criminal Investigation Division with the assistance of the Waterloo Regional Police Service arrested 34 year old Bidah Preet Singh Bhatia of Waterloo for Manslaughter and Trafficking a Schedule I Substance.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, GSPS Detectives and members of WRPS conducted a Search Warrant at the man’s residence in Waterloo seizing over $200,000 in cash and an additional $300,000 in property that are believed.

Detectives Investigating Double Homicide at Hotel on Paris Street at Walford RoadUPDATE
Through the ongoing investigation, it has been determined that two of the individuals in police custody were not involved in this incident, however, they have been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 in relation to the Theft of a Motor Vehicle. Both individuals attended Bail Court today to answer to the charge.
