Incident on Clinton Street - Special Investigations Unit (SIU) investigating incident31-year-old Woman Charged with Obstruct Peace Officer after Missing Person InvestigationOn November 4, 2025, detectives from the Major Crime Section of the Criminal Investigation Division arrested and charged 31‑year‑old Rae‑Anna Lalonde with Obstruct Peace Officer in relation to a missing persons investigation.
On August 28, 2025, the accused contacted police requesting a well‑being check for an individual in the community.

Support First Initiative: Building a Safer Downtown - November 2025 ResultsGreater Sudbury’s downtown core faces a range of complex social and safety challenges – from open-air drug use and substance intoxication to trespassing, panhandling, and property-related crime.
To address these concerns, the Greater Sudbury Police Service (GSPS) launched the Support First Initiative for 360 Community Safety – a month-long framework designed to reduce open drug use through a compassionate, community-based approach.

Drug Trafficking Investigation Leads to Arrests and Firearm Seizure on Jean StreetOn November 27, 2025, Detectives from the Greater Sudbury Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) were conducting an investigation into individuals suspected of trafficking illicit drugs in Greater Sudbury.
During the course of the investigation, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Jean Street.
