The new Mobile Crisis Rapid Response Team (MCRRT) pairs Officers with a Health Sciences North Crisis Worker to respond to Mental Health and Addictions emergencies reported through our 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Centre.

39 year old Man Arrested and Charged with Child Pornography OffencesOn June 10, 2021 the Greater Sudbury Police Service Internet Child Exploitation and Computer Forensics Units working in collaboration with our Emergency Response and Intelligence Units executed a Search Warrant at a residence in Greater Sudbury.
As a result of the investigation, 39 year old Tyler Chapman was arrested and charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada:
- Access Child Pornography x5
- Possess Child Pornography x5
- Make Available Child Pornography
He appeared in Bail.
