Just before 10:55 a.m. this morning, April 29, 2025, officers were dispatched to a store on the Kingsway in relation to a Robbery in progress. Information provided was that an individual entered the store, stole a packaged desktop computer and threatened staff by stating he was armed with a knife. The individual then fled on foot prior to police arrival.

Officers arrived in the area and located the individual matching the description provided. Officers took the individual into custody without incident and recovered the stolen computer.

The 18-year-old man from Greater Sudbury was transported to police headquarters and has been charged with the following offences;

  • Robbery
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
  • Breach of Recognizance
  • Fail to Comply with Sentence Order

He will attend Bail Court to answer to the charges. His name cannot be released at this time as the information has not yet been sworn to through the court process.
