Please note due to COVID-19, the Release of Information office is open by appointments only. To request a police report, please call 705-675-9171 extension 6323.

If you require a copy of a police record, such as general occurrence reports, motor vehicle collision reports, officer notebook notes, witness statements, or digital recordings, you may submit your request to Customer Service by filling out a Records Request Form along with one valid piece of identification (must include full name, date of birth, photograph and signature). Payment will be required upon the completion of the request based on our current fee schedule.

Records are available to individuals directly involved or spoken to within the police occurrence. If you wish to request a record on behalf of another person, signed consent is required from that individual or proof and evidence that you are a person authorized to make the request.

Severances may be applied to the records based on the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
