Just before 10:45 a.m. on July 5, 2025, our 9-1-1 Emergency Communication Centre received a traffic complaint regarding a red SUV that was being driven aggressively on the Kingsway. Further information provided was that this vehicle had struck another vehicle on the side of the road and fled the area.

Around 10:50 a.m. another traffic complaint was received regarding the same vehicle. This time, information provided was that the vehicle was speeding excessively on Falconbridge Road going towards Garson. Witnesses described the vehicle to be traveling at 170km/hr and was being driven in the oncoming lane.

Officers located the vehicle in Garson. The driver continued to drive through stop signs and drove to a private property in Falconbridge.

Once on the property, the vehicle was blocked in by police cruisers to ensure public safety. Officers directed the driver to exit the vehicle, however the driver refused. The driver was removed from the vehicle and placed under arrest.
