
On October 4, 2025, officers responded to a Break and Enter at a residence in the South End of Greater Sudbury where a significant amount of jewelry and electronic equipment were stolen from the home.
As part of the ongoing investigation, officers in the Break Enter and Robbery (BEAR) Unit identified the individual believed to be responsible and connected the individual to a separate residential Break and Enter that occurred on October 1, 2025.
On October 16, 2025, officers executed a search warrant at the residence of the individual and took two people into custody. During the execution of the warrant, officers located the following;
- Clothing worn during the incident
- Jewelry stolen during the incident
- Electronic equipment stolen during the incident
The total estimate value of the recovered items is $73,250.
As a result of the investigation 26-year-old, Kedar Ravi Kemayou has been charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada;
- Break enter and commit indictable offence x2
- Theft over $5,000
- Possession of property obtained by crime
- Trafficking property obtained by crime
18-year-old, Steven Kevy Kemayou Bened has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime
Kedar Ravi Kemayou attended bail court on October 17, 2025, to answer to the charges. Steven Kevy Kemayou was released on an undertaking with a court date of November 19, 2025, to answer to the charge.
