
At 2:05 p.m. on January 3, 2026, members of the Community Response Unit (CRU) were conducting a proactive patrol in the downtown core when they saw an individual who was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for breach of a conditional sentence.
The officers arrested the individual without incident and upon searching the individual, incident to arrest, located 20 grams of what is believed to be Crystal Methamphetamine, 25 grams of what is believed to be Crack Cocaine, 3.1 grams of what is believed to be a Psilocybin and 1.1 grams of what is believed to be Fentanyl. The estimated value of the drugs is $3,440. The officers also seized over $370 in cash, believed to be proceeds of drug trafficking.
As a result of the investigation, 42-year-old, Isaac Cooper has been charged with the following offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) and Criminal Code of Canada;
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule I Substance x3
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule III Substance
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
- Breach of Conditional Sentence x4
Isaac Cooper attended Weekend and Statutory Holiday (WASH) court on January 4, 2026, to answer to the charges.
