Around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2020 we received a call regarding a Robbery that had just taken place at a food establishment on Kathleen Street. Information provided was that a lone man entered the store, approached the cash, showed a knife and demanded money. The employees immediately contacted police and the man fled on foot without getting any cash. No one was injured during the interaction.

Officers arrived on scene and set up containment in order to conduct a K9 track for the man. While on the track, Officers came across a man who was unresponsive on the ground outside of a residence on Frood Road. The Officers assessed his condition and determined that he was suffering from an overdose. The Officers administered Naloxone that successfully revived the man to the point that he could communicate with the Officers. Paramedics arrived on scene and transported the 23 year old man to hospital as a precaution.

While additional Officers were on scene with the man, Officers involved with the K9 track continued to look for the man responsible for the Robbery, however he was not located at the time of the incident. 

The man responsible for the Robbery is described as being between 5’8” and 6’0” tall and around 180 to 200 lbs. He is described as being White and he was wearing dark clothes at the time of the Robbery.
