Shortly after 2:00 p.m. on November 16, 2021, we received a call regarding a disturbance at the residence of Mayor Brian Bigger. Information provided was that a man had attended the residence and began causing a disturbance, banging on the front door and yelling while videotaping the home. This caused Mayor Bigger and his family to fear for their safety.

The man left the area prior to Police arrival, however, through the investigation, Officers were able to identify the man responsible.

Around 11:20 p.m. the 33 year old man was arrested and charged with Criminal Harassment in relation to this matter. He was released on an Undertaking with a First Appearance Court date of January 26, 2022.  His name cannot be released as the information has not yet been sworn to through the Court process.

This is a reminder that there are proper and appropriate channels available to community members who are looking to contact Public Officials. Attending an individual’s private residence is not an appropriate avenue. Please be respectful of their privacy and the privacy and safety of their family members.
