Missing Person 40 year old Amanda Oake Located Deceased

UPDATE

Around 2:45 p.m. on December 8, 2020, we received a call regarding what was believed to be a deceased person in a wooded area off of Wavy Lake Road.

Officers arrived on scene and confirmed that the adult woman was deceased. Due to the location where the body was found, the Ontario Provincial Police initiated an investigation into the death.

Through the OPP investigation, it has been confirmed that the deceased person is 40 year old Amanda Oake of Greater Sudbury. The OPP investigation into her death is ongoing. 

Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of Amanda. We ask that you respect the family’s privacy during this difficult and emotional time.

We are requesting the Public's assistance to locate 40 year old Amanda Oake. 

Amanda was last seen on November 28, 2020.

Amanda is described as being 5'2" tall, weighing around 125 lbs., with sandy blonde hair and bluish green eyes.

Amanda was last seen wearing a black winter coat with fur around the hood, bluish grey winter boots and a blue or white beret style hat.

There is a concern for Amanda's well-being.
