It has now been two years since the disappearance of Catherine “Wendy”. Our focus remains on locating her and bringing answers to her loved ones, who continue to live with uncertainty and concern.
Wendy was 48 years old at the time of her disappearance. She was last seen just before 4:00 p.m. on May 1, 2024, in New Sudbury.
Wendy is described as 5’4” tall, 125 pounds, with blue eyes and dyed brown hair. She has a surgical scar on her right wrist, angel wing tattoos on her shoulder, and is missing some teeth.
At the time she was last seen, Wendy was wearing blue jeans, a grey hoodie, a black and white windbreaker, and brown leather boots.
Over the past two years, police have followed up on every tip received. Unfortunately, Wendy has still not been located, and investigators have not been able to corroborate information that confirms her current whereabouts.
Investigators believe that there is more information out there, information that could help bring answers to Wendy’s loved ones. Even the smallest detail may be significant, and we are urging anyone with information related to Wendy’s disappearance to come forward.
Community assistance remains vital in missing persons investigations. Continued awareness and the willingness to share information can make a meaningful difference, even years later.
If you have any information that may help locate Wendy, please contact the Greater Sudbury Police Service at 705‑675‑9171 or Crime Stoppers at 705-222-8477.
We remain committed to finding Wendy and will continue to pursue every lead. Updates will be provided when new, verifiable information becomes available.
