Just after 8:15 p.m. on October 20, 2023, officers were dispatched to a business on Regent Street in relation to a Break and Enter in progress.

Upon arrival, officers found the back window of the business smashed and an individual attempting to flee. Officers quickly took the individual into custody.

38-year-old, Mark West has been charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada;
  • Break and Enter
  • Fail to Comply with Release Order x2
  • Mischief Over $5,000
Mark West was also wanted on an outstanding Bench Warrant in relation to over 30 property-related crimes and an additional four Arrest Warrants for Break and Enter x5 and Fail to Comply with Release Order x7.

Mark West attended Weekend and Statutory Holiday (WASH) Court on October 21, 2023 to answer to all of the charges.
