
UPDATE 3
On October 4, 2025, 26-year-old, Romaine Sam was taken into custody on the strength of the arrest warrant for Second Degree Murder x2 at the Pearson International Airport by members of the Canadian Boarder Services Agency (CBSA). Through the investigation it was determined that Romaine Sam fled to Southern Ontario shortly after the double homicide occurred and then left the country prior to being identified. Romaine Sam was arrested at Pearson International Airport upon returning to Canada by members of the CBSA.
Officers from the Greater Sudbury Police Service attended Pearson International Airport where Romaine Sam was transferred into custody and transported back to Greater Sudbury for Weekend and Statutory Holiday (WASH) court on October 5, 2025, to answer to the charges. Romaine Sam has since been remanded into custody.
Detectives continue to follow-up on information to identify the other two men believed to be involved.

UPDATE 2
As a result of the ongoing investigation into the double homicide on August 29, 2025, at 1960 Paris Street, detectives have identified one of the individuals believed to be responsible for the shootings.
Detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for Second Degree Murder x2 for 26-year-old, Romaine Sam from Southern Ontario (image attached). Romaine Sam should be considered armed and dangerous and anyone with information related to his whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately.
In addition, on September 6, 2025, 23-year-old, Tinique Moore from Southern Ontario was arrested by the Toronto Police Service for Accessory After the Fact to Murder in connection to this incident. Tinique Moore was transported to Greater Sudbury and appeared in Weekend and Statutory Holiday (WASH) court on September 7, 2025, to answer to the charge. She has since been remanded into custody.
