
UPDATE
Through the ongoing investigation into the double homicide on August 29, 2025, detectives have obtained images of three men believed to be involved in the incident. Images of the three individuals are attached.
Anyone with information related to the identities of the three men or their whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately at 705-675-9171 extension 2320.
Based on the results of the postmortem conducted through the Coroner’s Office on August 31, 2025, the deceased man has been identified as a 29-year-old, man from Southern Ontario. His name will not be released out of respect for his family’s wishes.
On August 31, 2025, detectives arrested and charged 32-year-old, Stephanie Labelle with Accessory After the Fact to Murder in relation to the ongoing investigation.
On the night of the double homicide, 44-year-old, Keaton Pren was arrested and charged with First Murder x2. Keaton Pren attended Weekend and Statutory Holiday (WASH) court on August 30, 2025, and has been remanded into custody.

At 10:23 p.m. on August 29, 2025, officers responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting that gunshots were heard from inside the building at 1960 Paris Street. Upon arrival, Patrol officers located a deceased man whose identity has not yet been confirmed and a deceased 41-year old, woman on one of the floors of the building.
A 44-year old, man has been arrested in relation to the double homicide and he remains in police custody. Further police investigation revealed that the remaining suspects involved in the incident had fled the scene prior to police arrival. Based on preliminary information, this is believed to be a targeted incident involving individuals known to each other. There is no threat to the general public.
