The Greater Sudbury Police Service remains committed to holding offenders accountable by focusing resources on those who pose an elevated risk to the safety, security and wellness of Greater Sudbury.
As part of our Community Safety and Well-being Plan, members of our Community Response Unit regularly conduct bail compliance checks on violent and high-risk offenders who are currently released on court-imposed conditions.
We are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 41-year-old, Michael Gould who is wanted for Breach of Release Order.
Michael Gould is currently before the courts for numerous violent, drug and property-related offences including Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Assault with a Weapon and Break and Enter. He was released through the judicial process with several court-imposed conditions including house arrest which he has not been abiding by.
Officers have made attempts to locate Michael Gould, however, he has been evading police. Anyone with information related to his whereabouts is asked to contact police at 705-675-9171 or Crime Stoppers at 705-222-8477.
We are dedicated to prevention and risk intervention through the Bail Compliance and Warrant Apprehension Program, with a strong focus on violent and high-risk offenders. This program plays a critical role in preventing crime, victimization, and re-victimization by holding offenders accountable for their actions. We will continue to allocate resources to ensure strict adherence to court-ordered conditions and the prompt execution of arrest warrants for those breaching judicial orders. This proactive approach underscores the importance of accountability in reducing risks to our community.
