UPDATE 3 – Double homicide at 1960 Paris Street –26-year-old, Romaine Sam arrested by CBSA

UPDATE 3

On October 4, 2025, 26-year-old, Romaine Sam was taken into custody on the strength of the arrest warrant for Second Degree Murder x2 at the Pearson International Airport by members of the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). Through the investigation it was determined that Romaine Sam fled to Southern Ontario shortly after the double homicide occurred and then left the country prior to being identified. Romaine Sam was arrested at Pearson International Airport upon returning to Canada by members of the CBSA.

Officers from the Greater Sudbury Police Service attended Pearson International Airport where Romaine Sam was transferred into custody and transported back to Greater Sudbury for Weekend and Statutory Holiday (WASH) court on October 5, 2025, to answer to the charges. Romaine Sam has since been remanded into custody.

Detectives continue to follow-up on information to identify the other two men believed to be involved.
