The Greater Sudbury Police Service is proud to announce the transition to a new and improved online reporting platform, Rubireports, effective October 20, 2025. This change marks a significant step forward in our commitment to innovation, technology, and enhanced service-delivery for our community.

Rubireports will replace the current Coplogic system and offers a more intuitive, accessible, and user-friendly experience for reporting non-emergent crimes and incidents. Designed with modern users in mind, Rubireports features:

  • Multi-lingual support in over 50 languages, ensuring accessibility for all members of our diverse community
  • Geolocation accuracy with integrated Google Maps address search, making it easier to pinpoint incident locations
  • Mobile-friendly design, allowing users to report from any device, anytime, anywhere
  • Digital evidence collection, with the ability to upload any file type 3GB+, supporting photos, videos, documents, and more

In addition to non-emergent reports such as property crimes, fraud and traffic enforcement, Rubireports also supports the reporting of sensitive incidents that are investigated by our Criminal Investigation Division, including hate crimes and hate-motivated incidents, sexual assault, and human trafficking. These options were developed in consultation with community partners to provide an additional discreet and trauma-informed reporting option. Reports submitted through Rubireports in these categories are sent directly to specially trained detectives, reducing the number of times a survivor must recount their experience and allowing them to report when they are ready from any place of safety, without concern that a marked police cruiser will attend. For emergencies and/or crimes in progress, always call 9-1-1.

This transition supports our ongoing effort to provide alternative service-delivery options for non-emergent calls, helping ensure that our frontline officers remain available for emergency response and critical incidents.
