At 2:19 p.m. on December 26, 2020, officers responded to a report of a deceased 75 year old man found inside of a residence on Kathleen Street in Greater Sudbury. The deceased has since been identified as Robert KESKINEN. When Officers arrived on scene they discovered visible trauma to the body of the deceased and determined it to be a Suspicious Death. Around 3:20 p.m. on December 23, 2020, Officers located and arrested the man believed to be responsible for two recent Robberies.

Just after 5:45 p.m. on December 12, 2020, the man entered a convenience store on Eyre Street, rushed the counter and physically pushed the employee to the ground, taking an undetermined amount of money from the register before fleeing the scene on foot.

Around 3:20 p.m. on December 23, 2020, we were called in relation to a Suspicious Vehicle on Clinton Avenue. Information provided was that the driver and passenger appeared to be unconscious and that there was a child in the back seat.

Officers and Paramedics arrived on scene. The driver, passenger and child were cleared medically by Paramedics; however the driver showed visible signs of impairment.

Around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2020 we received a call regarding a Robbery that had just taken place at a food establishment on Kathleen Street. Information provided was that a lone man entered the store, approached the cash, showed a knife and demanded money. The employees immediately contacted police and the man fled on foot without getting any cash. No one was injured during the interaction.
