Around 1:45 p.m. on June 19, 2022, a Patrol Officer was in the area of Elgin Street and St. Anne Road when he saw a 2013 four-door, grey Volkswagon Jetta being driven in an erratic manner. Around 9:35 a.m. on June 21, 2022, we were called in relation to a Weapons complaint on Durham Street in Greater Sudbury. Information provided was that two men were seen exchanging what was believed to be a hand gun.
Minutes later, Patrol Officers arrived in the area and located the two men based on the description that had been provided to our 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Centre.

Volatile Situation on Fleming Street Ends Peacefully After Seven Hours

Around 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2022, Officers were dispatched to a residence on Fleming Street in Val Caron in relation to a Weapons complaint. Information provided was that a neighbour dispute had taken place that resulted in a man threatening to shoot community members outside of a residence. The man then attended the residence with what was described as a machete causing damage to the community member’s property.

The woman responsible for the Hit and Run is still outstanding.
