Statement on the Death of Tyre Nichols

On January 7, 2023, 29-year-old, Tyre Nichols was violently beaten to death by five Memphis police officers after a routine traffic stop. As a result of the attack, the officers have been fired and they have since been charged with second-degree murder, aggravated assault, two charges of aggravated kidnapping, two charges of official misconduct and one charge of official oppression.

On January 23, 2023, 37-year-old, Mark West was arrested on an Arrest Warrant in relation to 13 commercial Break and Enters that took place between October 2022 and January 2023.

In September 2022, we received two separate complaints from two Survivors of Sexual Assault involving the same man who was in a position of power and authority when the attacks took place.
