Anywhere Anytime RIDE Campaign

Expect to see us out conducting random R.I.D.E. checks anywhere, at any time. Although there is a province-wide stay-at-home order in effect, as long as there are motorists on our roadways, we'll be out there making sure they are driving sober. We can’t be EVERYwhere ALL the time, but we can certainly be ANYwhere at ANY time.

The Provincial Stay-at-Home Order came into effect this morning, January 14, 2021 at 12:01 a.m.  The Province issued the second State of Emergency due to the immense strain on the Health Care system and Health Care providers. The Stay-at-Home Order aims to protect our most vulnerable populations, health care workers and the overall health and well-being of our communities by flattening the curve and reducing the spread of COVID-19.

Looking to Speak with Pedestrian Involved in Collision on MR 15 in Chelmsford

We are looking to speak with a pedestrian involved in a collision with a pick-up truck on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Around 7:45 a.m. on January 12, 2021, a pick-up truck came into contact with a pedestrian on Municipal Road 15 just South of Bonin Street in Chelmsford.

The pedestrian left the scene without providing a name. The involved Driver has been identified and spoken to; however we are looking to speak with the involved pedestrian.

Suspicious Persons Call Results in Seizure of Over $13,000 Worth of Drugs

Just before 11:30 p.m. on January 10, 2021, we were called in relation to a Suspicious Persons after a group of unknown individuals were seen entering an underground parking lot off of Elgin Street in Greater Sudbury.

When Officers arrived they located a vehicle that appeared to have multiple people inside. As Officers approached the vehicle to speak with the individuals, they could see in plain view a bag containing what was believed to be Fentanyl on the driver’s seat.

Man Sustained Serious Injuries as a Result of Incident on Queen Street - Woman Arrested and Charged

Just after 12:30 p.m. on January 10, 2021, we were called in relation to an Unknown Trouble at a residential building on Queen Street in Greater Sudbury. Information provided was that a man could be seen outside of the building and that he appeared to be bleeding. The man could be heard yelling that he had been stabbed.

Officers quickly arrived on scene and found a woman outside of the building with a knife in her hand. Officers took the woman into custody.
