On Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at approximately 1:30 p.m. Greater Sudbury Police arrived on scene of an altercation that had recently taken place between two men on Lloyd Street. As a result of the altercation, a 30-year old man from Greater Sudbury sustained stab wounds to his neck and shoulder. He was transported to hospital by EMS where he remains in stable condition.

2017 Police Cup – “Play it Forward” Results

On the weekend of January 13 – 15, 2017, approximately 500 local players, on 31 different teams from the Sudbury Playground Hockey League competed in the Police Cup hockey tournament.
Once again this year, there was great hockey played in local arenas and participants of the tournament gave back to the community by donating non-perishable food items. Greater Sudbury Police are on scene of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Lasalle Boulevard and Barrydowne Road.
The male has been transported to hospital by EMS.
There are road closures in the area, so motorists should expect delays or attempt to find an alternative route.
