Local Woman Arrested and Charged After Stealing Close to $130,000 from Employer

On March 27, 2020, we received a call from a local daycare regarding an alleged substantial Fraud. Information provided was that an employee of the daycare had allegedly been accepting funds owed to the daycare and fraudulently depositing these funds into personal bank accounts.
The incident was assigned to a Detective in our Financial Crimes Branch of our Criminal Investigation Division.

Just before 3:45 a.m. this morning, Friday, November 27, 2020, we received a call regarding a serious motor vehicle collision on MR55 approximately half way between Balsam Street and Big Nickel Road in Copper Cliff.
The serious collision involved a pedestrian and a pick-up truck. The 38 year old man (pedestrian) involved in the collision was pronounced deceased on scene. The man’s name will not be released out of respect for his family’s wishes.

Requesting Assistance to Locate 34 year old Ty Thrush in Connection to Six Robberies

UPDATE
On Friday, December 11, 2020, Patrol Officers located and arrested 34 year old Ty Thrush on an outstanding Arrest Warrant for Robbery x6 and Disguise with Intent x6 in connection to the local Robberies that occurred between November 7 and November 15, 2020.
He will be held in Police custody in order to attend Weekend and Statutory Holiday Court on Saturday, December 12, 2020 to answer to the charges.
