Shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 6, 2020, we were called in relation to a Suspicious Vehicle complaint in the parking lot of a grocery store on Regent Street in Greater Sudbury. Information provided was that the vehicle had been running in the parking lot for two hours and the driver appeared to be asleep in the driver’s seat. The Internet Child Exploitation (I.C.E.) Unit was recently notified by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security that a person in Greater Sudbury had been accessing and possessing Child Pornography online over a period of several years.
On December 10, 2020, our I.C.E. and Computer Forensics Units in conjunction with our Emergency Response Unit (Tactical) and Intelligence Unit executed Search Warrants at two residences in Greater Sudbury.

Local Woman Arrested and Charged After Stealing Close to $130,000 from Employer

On March 27, 2020, we received a call from a local daycare regarding an alleged substantial Fraud. Information provided was that an employee of the daycare had allegedly been accepting funds owed to the daycare and fraudulently depositing these funds into personal bank accounts.
The incident was assigned to a Detective in our Financial Crimes Branch of our Criminal Investigation Division.
