Officers Locate Illicit Drugs and Loaded Handgun in Bag Thrown From Apartment Balcony

Shortly after 11:00 a.m. on December 5, 2022, Officers attended an apartment building on Bruce Avenue in relation to a Missing Person investigation. While on scene, Officers were approached by an individual who indicated that a bag had been thrown from the balcony of an apartment unit and that the bag almost hit someone.

Officers located the bag and when they opened it, they found a loaded handgun and a quantity of drugs.

Just before 5:00 p.m. on December 1st, 2022, we received a call from a concerned community member regarding a woman operating a motor vehicle in an erratic manner, with a male passenger, travelling Eastbound on MR 35 in Greater Sudbury. On November 27th, 2022 just after 9:00 p.m., Officers attended a residential area in Azilda in response to what appeared to be a Theft in progress.
