Calling all Sudbury area organizations, big or small!
This year, the Greater Sudbury Police Service is hosting its 3rd annual Truth and Reconciliation Relay.
The Truth and Reconciliation Relay is a GSPS initiative aimed at honouring the history of Indigenous peoples, promoting healing and advancing reconciliation with Indigenous communities.

Between July 20 and July 27, 2024, there have been multiple Fraud incidents reported in Northern Ontario involving what is believed to be the same vehicle, a grey Hyundai sedan (image attached) and the same individuals.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to identify the driver believed to be involved in a fail to stop and multiple thefts of gas.

Fatal collision involving a pedestrian on Lloyd Street

Shortly after 9:45 a.m. officers were dispatched to a serious collision involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Lloyd Street at Paris Street.
Based on the investigation, it has been determined that two vehicles were involved in a collision causing debris from one of the vehicles to strike a 92-year-old, woman on the sidewalk.

Detectives of our Criminal Investigations Division continue to investigate the Sudden Death that occurred in Bell Park on July 31st, 2024.
Police have confirmed the identity of the individual who was located deceased as 36-year old Pat Forgues. With the family’s permission, the Greater Sudbury Police Service is releasing his name in order to obtain additional information to progress the investigation.
