54 year old Man Arrested and Charged with Sexual Violence-related Offences

On May 25, 2022, Detectives entered into a Human Trafficking-related Investigation involving a youth under the age of 16. Due to the sensitive nature of the incident and in order to protect the Survivor’s identity, no further details will be provided.

In 2017, the Greater Sudbury Police Service formed a sexual assault review committee in collaboration with community partner agencies. As a result, advocates from GSPS, Health Sciences North Violence Intervention Prevention Program (VIPP), Voices for Women, Centre Victoria Pour Femmes, YWCA Genevra House, Laurentian University and Sudbury and Area Victim Services meet on a monthly basis to review cases of sexual assault within the City of Greater Sudbury.
