We are requesting the Public’s assistance to identify the man responsible for a Robbery at a convenience store on Falconbridge Road on January 24, 2022.
Shortly after 1:00 a.m. a man entered a convenience store on Falconbridge Road, approached the cash, showed a knife and demanded money. The man fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash by driving away in a pick-up truck prior to Police arrival. Images of the man and the vehicle are attached.

DEU Seizes Close to $72,000 Worth of Illicit Drugs

As part of the Integrated Crime Section (ICS), our Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) continues its ongoing effort to address the Opioid crisis impacting our community with a specific focus on drug distribution in the Downtown core. The DEU received information that an individual from Southern Ontario was actively providing illicit substances including Fentanyl to street level drug traffickers that were situated in the Downtown core of Greater Sudbury.

On February 25, 2022, we received information that an individual was being held against their will at 744 Bruce Avenue and that there were firearms inside the residence.
Members of our Integrated Crime Section supported by our Emergency Response Unit attended the address and were able to make contact with the individuals inside the residence. Through negotiations led by our Crisis Negotiators, all of the individuals inside of the residence safely exited the home and were taken into police custody...

We are requesting the Public’s assistance in relation to an Arson on Lasalle Boulevard the night of February 22, 2022.
Around 11:45 p.m. on February 22, 2022, City of Greater Sudbury Fire Services responded to a structure fire at 1212 Lasalle Boulevard. Upon extinguishing the fire, Firefighters determined the fire to be suspicious and contacted Police.
