The Aboriginal Community Police Advisory Committee (ACPAC) works in partnership with the police service to assist with and advise on the delivery of services that is culturally sensitive to the needs, safety, security, and rights of the Aboriginal Community.

We are a learning organization, committed to nurturing and growing our relationship with Indigenous peoples with the guidance of ACPAC.

In 2005, through ACPAC, we recognized an opportunity to develop an initiative aimed at building positive relationships with Indigenous youth. The MKWA Opportunity Education Circle is a partnership with the four local school boards in Greater Sudbury that creates learning opportunities for Indigenous students looking to pursue a career in the Justice sector to participate in ride along program with our Officers.

The ACPAC has been instrumental in the development and launch of both the Looking Ahead to Build the Spirit of Our Women - Learning to Live Free from Violence Strategy and the Indigenous Women and Girls Missing Persons Toolkit and Resource Guide.
