Do you enjoy meeting new people and attending community events? Are you passionate about supporting your community and the Greater Sudbury Police Service?

Our Event Volunteers join GSPS members at various community events as an extension of the Police Service. Many youth want to make a positive impact on the safety, security, and well‑being of Greater Sudbury, which is why Event Volunteer opportunities are open to community members 14 years of age and older. Parental consent is required for volunteers aged 14–17.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Event set up and take down
  • Registration assistance
  • Escort attendees to seating arrangements
  • Promote volunteer opportunities at various community events
  • Drive fleet vehicles to escort persons and/or transport items to and from events (*must have G Drivers Licence)

Eligibility
  • Must be 14 years old or older (14-17 requires a parental consent form)
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Must pass a Police Check
