Between January 2022 and March 2023, the Greater Sudbury Police Service received several fraud complaints in relation to local businesses, 5026830 Ontario Ltd. and Nickel City Financing, operated by the same individual.

The Provincial Joint Forces Guns and Gangs Enforcement Team (PGNG), in partnership with the Greater Sudbury Police Service and with assistance from the Durham Regional Police, has arrested six people after identifying a drug trafficking operation reaching from the Greater Toronto Area to Sudbury.

Just after 6:00 a.m. this morning, March 28, 2023, officers were dispatched to MR55 and Magill Street in relation to a serious motor vehicle collision involving a transport.
A transport traveling westbound towards Lively on MR55 was involved in a collision with a vehicle traveling eastbound making a left hand turn from MR55 onto Magill Street.

Around 5:50 p.m. on March 21, 2023, officers were dispatched to the area of Old City Hall Lane in relation to a robbery that had just occurred.
Upon arrival officers located a 39-year-old man who had sustained serious injuries from the attack. He was transported to hospital by City of Greater Sudbury Paramedic Services.

UPDATEThrough the investigation it has been determined that the SUV struck the transport resulting in the driver of the SUV losing control of the vehicle. We are looking to speak with the driver of the transport in relation to the incident, as well as, the driver of the vehicle who was almost hit by the SUV when it crossed the centre line into oncoming traffic.
