Many police services across Canada have adopted the ribbon skirt into their Number One Dress Uniform. Today we are pleased to announce that GSPS will be joining the Ontario Provincial Police Indigenous Bureau, Anishinabek Police Service, Treaty Three Police Service, Lakeshore Regional Police Service and the Blood Tribe Police Service as one of the growing number of police services to do so. We are requesting public assistance to locate 19-year-old, Noah Singh (images attached) as he is wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada in relation to the homicide at Overtime Sports Bar on April 21, 2023;

  • First Degree Murder (party to the offence)
  • Possession of a Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
  • Conspiracy to Commit Murder
  • Utter Threats
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

Officers respond to weapons complaint on Lisgar Street - 38-year-old man charged

Around 7:45 p.m. on May 4, 2023, police were dispatched to a weapons complaint at Lisgar Street at Elm Street. Information provided was that individuals were involved in an altercation. During the altercation, a man pointed a firearm at another man, however the man pushed the gun away and the gun discharged leading to a woman involved in the initial altercation being shot.

The 41-year-old woman was transported to hospital by City of Greater Sudbury Paramedic Services with serious injuries.

16-year-old believed to be responsible for shooting at Overtime Sports Bar arrested in Toronto

Around 7:35 a.m. this morning, April 29, 2023, the Toronto Police Service arrested the 16-year-old believed to be responsible for the fatal shooting at Overtime Sports Bar in Greater Sudbury.

The youth has been charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada;

  • Murder
  • Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Carrying concealed weapon
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited device
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition
