Around 2:15 a.m. on December 15, 2024, officers were patrolling the downtown core as part of the Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) campaign when an officer saw a vehicle being driven in an unsafe manner. The vehicle was seen speeding, braking suddenly, making unsafe turns and not coming to a full stop at a four-way stop intersection.

Three individuals arrested after gunshots inside residence on David Street in Chelmsford

Around 8:05 a.m. on December 14, 2024, officers were dispatched to a residential building on David Street in Chelmsford in relation to a weapons complaint.
Information provided was that individuals inside the building heard what were believed to be gunshots inside one of the residential units.

Just before 9:00 p.m. on December 11, 2024, officers were dispatched to a wooded area off Leslie Street in relation to a weapons complaint. Information provided was that an individual had been stabbed and required medical attention.
Officers arrived on scene and located a 28-year-old, man who had sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to hospital by Greater Sudbury Paramedics.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, Detectives from the Major Crime Section of our Criminal Investigation Division were granted a search warrant for the residential unit on Elm Street at Eyre Street.
